Purpose of position /
Goal to be achieved
To guarantee an optimum cleanness, hygiene and tidiness on board to the maximum passengers’ satisfaction

Duties / Responsibilities
 Co-responsible for the housekeeping department
 Co-responsible for the implementation and maintaining of the standards and budgets in the housekeeping department
 Active servicing of cabins in own station
 Co-responsible for a smooth running of the laundry
 Co-responsible for the controlling of externally laundered linen and uniforms, including quality control and control of delivery notices
 Co-responsible for the issuing, controlling and taking back of company’s uniforms
 Co-responsible for the purchase orders for the housekeeping department in cooperation with the Senior Receptionist
 Co-responsible for receiving and checking deliveries for the housekeeping department
 Co-responsible for the correct handling and storage of all housekeeping supplies, detergents and equipment
 Co-responsible for an impeccable cleanness, hygiene and tidiness in the serviced cabins and all public passenger and crew areas
 Co-responsible for correct monthly stock taking as per company’s instructions
 Co-responsible for the implementation of the correct appearance / uniformity, as well as the standard of personal hygiene of all housekeeping crew
 Responsible for looking after pot plants in public areas
 Co-responsible for the efficient turn-down service with the correct distribution of daily programs, gift orders etc., in cooperation with the Senior Receptionist
 Various preparatory duties prior to and at the end of the season
 Co-responsible for meeting the HACCP Standards

Daily meeting with Senior Receptionist / housekeeping staff
Participation in regular trainings of housekeeping staff
Participation in crew show is requested

Professional experience
1 year of experience in a comparable position on cruise ships
